Our CURRENT FAVORITE Turmeric and Matcha Latte Recipes

At Poosh, we love a good matcha latte—goes without saying! But of course, there are times when we want a warming beverage without the caffeine.

Enter: the turmeric latte (aka golden milk).

Lots of new moms opt for this type of latte when breastfeeding. This drink is also known to work wonders at bedtime. Turmeric lattes can reduce inflammation and soothe the nervous system, making it a nighttime ritual many use to relax and improve sleep quality.

Whether you are team matcha or team turmeric, we’ve got both recipes below for you to try. Now go enjoy some you time!

Golden Milk Turmeric Latte

Ingredients:

1 ½ cups almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Grind of black pepper

Instructions: 

1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat.
2. Whisk constantly until hot. (A milk frother works well.)
3. Pour into your mug of choice, and top with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!

Kourtney’s Matcha Latte

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 teaspoon matcha
2 cups of almond milk
1/4 cup organic maple syrup *lately Kourt cuts this in half

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Boil milk.
2. Melt the matcha with a little boiling water.
3. Add the matcha and the syrup in the milk and beat very well.
4. Serve in Kourt’s favorite double-wall mug.
